This is an engraved wooden plaque showing the Seven Social Sins as described by Mahatma Gandhi in October 1925, although it had previously formed part of a sermon in Westminster Abbey in March 1925 by an Anglican priest named Frederick Lewis Donaldson who had then sent the list to his friend Gandhi.
The sins are:
Wealth without work.
Pleasure without conscience.
Knowledge without character.
Commerce without morality.
Science without humanity.
Religion without sacrifice.
Politics without principle.
The plaque is engraved, painted and then sanded to give it the worn look you see in the pictures. If you prefer a different finish, please let me know.
It is ready to hang.
The plaque measures approximately 25cm x 20cm x 5mm, or 10″ x 7 3/4″ x 1/4″.All overseas parcels are shipped with tracking.

Custom of personalised orders can’t be returned or exchanged because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective.
