Children’s Clothing and Products
Clothing and products made for children have many specific safety standards and legal requirements that vary around the world. Baphomart cannot advise on how to comply with the law. It is up to you to ensure that you comply with all local laws and regulations for the markets you serve.
Things to consider when you’re listing handmade or vintage items intended for children in your shop:
- Could the item contain any toxic ingredients (example: lead)?
- Could the item present any serious choking hazards (example: small buttons or parts)?
- Could the item pose any other health risks (example: flammable materials or magnets)?
- Am I listing an item that has been recalled (example: some items with drawstrings or drop-side cribs)?
- Have I embellished any clothing with beads, paint, ribbon, or other potentially dangerous materials that may be harmful to children?
