Water-based black matte ink print on white acid free 220gsm cartridge paper, hand-hand pressed with a spoon and touched up by hand also to give it a consistent tone all over. (Watermark only included to protect the online image, the print will only have edition number, title if needed and it will be signed by myself.)

Size of the mount is approx. 18.5 x 21 cm
Limited edition of 50 prints of the smaller design. Delivered mounted and wrapped in cellophane.

Curious about the enigmatic horned face on the front of the Reader’s Digest Folklore, Myths and Legends of Britain book, I wanted to create a print for fellow lovers of Folkloric characters and stories, especially seeing as the original mask (photos of which I used as reference rather than the illustration) is lost to time. Reading up about it I found out it was likely used in charivari processions, also known as a Skimmington ride, where a scandal was performed in mock serenade to shame the culprits.

All prints are wrapped in protective cellophane, with a sheet of sturdy card, then gift wrapped. I use First Class Signed For delivery by the Royal Mail for all UK items. If you are overseas and would like to purchase something from me, please feel free to send me a message and I will get investigating further in how to get work to you! A request is to please ensure that there is time enough to receive your order by checking when the Royal Mail Strike dates are.
