Born and raised in Dorset Jayne has been sculpting with papier-mâché since 1988 and has exhibited and sold her work at South Bank, London and Florence, Italy. After a break of over a decade Jayne has returned to the medium to create a stunningly dark and unique collection of deeply sensory sculptures.
The Heads Up collection is a place where prosthetic teeth, eyes, miscellaneous items and fabrics are used on canvas and board. Add to this the papier-mâché techniques she has gained over the past 30 years and they all come together to form dark and emotional works of art that looks (often literally) at or shadow self.
With sales already spanning three continents over the last 2 years and the collection still to be finished there is plenty more to see from this artist.
