The process of making these artworks can be split into two: the ‘blocking’ stage to mark out the light and dark tones, and the ‘etching’ stage where I draw very fine lines over a number of days to fully bring the piece to life.Â
Mapping out these large-scale environments has become such a comforting practice to me, and now I hope to share that feeling with others.
